Republikein Newspaper Namibia (The Republican) is an Afrikaans-language newspaper published daily in Namibia and the largest newspaper in terms of print circulation. Editor in Chief is Chris Jacobie.

It was founded in December 1977 by the Republican Party of Namibia with the first editor being Johannes Petrus Spies.The paper was later supported by the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance (DTA), a merger of several parties. In 1991, Die Republikein was bought by the Democratic Media Holdings (DMH). After several disputes between DTA and DMH during the 1990s, the media house broke with the DTA in 1997 and aspires to increase editorial independence since.
