Argumenty i fakty Russia newspaper is a weekly newspaper based in Moscow and having publishing houses in Russia and worldwide. As of 2008, it is owned by Promsvyazbank. It was founded in 1978 by the Russian organization “Knowledge” to provide propagandists with statistical and other hard-to-find information. In 1980, AiF was transformed into a weekly but was not in wide circulation. It was available only by subscription to a closed circle of political spinners. After 1985, it was one of the leading publications in the Glasnost campaign.
